Sinharaja

Sinharaja Forest Reserve is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in southwestern Sri Lanka, renowned for its rich biodiversity and pristine rainforest ecosystem. Covering approximately 88.64 square kilometers, it is the country's last viable area of primary tropical rainforest. Sinharaja is home to a vast array of flora and fauna, including many endemic species of plants, birds, insects, reptiles, and mammals. Notable wildlife includes the purple-faced langur, Sri Lankan blue magpie, and green pit viper.
